Judy Garland Does Stripes
Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of somebody else. -Judy Garland.
In another life I was born a classic old Hollywood movie star. My style is hugely influenced by the era of old Hollywood and this vintage midi is no exception! I found this number in Austin, Texas. Home to many cool hole in the wall vintage stores you can't find anywhere else! Judy Garland inspired this post (thank you Judy) because she wore a similar dress in Meet Me In St. Louis one of my all time favorite films! See her blue striped version here.
I wanted to keep this look modern because we do live in 2017 so I paired it with a brown suede wedge by Steve Madden. These sandals are all the rage right now and if you follow any style bloggers you have for sure seen them by now! These sandals give an earthy laid back feel to the rest of the look and will look perfect paired with some boho trends in my closet. I honestly can't wait for summer so I can wear this to flea markets and maybe even a drive in movie, yes those still exist! Also starting in the summer you can pick wild berries at many Orchards and starting in the fall you can pick apples and pumpkins! I felt very dainty and feminine with this basket of apples as my main accessory to this look. Although I wish I could give ya'll a link to this exact dress, I featured some stylish other versions below that are just as cute! If you want an affordable one under $50 I found this lovely striped seersucker sundress found here for $46.
