Artwork Of A Classy Pin-Up
About a month ago I did a studio shoot gearing up for the spring and my blog launch. I'm beyond ecstatic with the way these photos came out. Here I'm sporting one of my favorite brands, Loft! The sister store to Ann Taylor. This hot pink pin-up inspired look was thought of after I found these adorable high waisted white shorts at Loft one day. As a baby blogger I'm not shy to tell you that I'm learning a ton right now through this process. One thing I've noticed a lot of very successful bloggers do is promote their Instagram pictures on their homepage for an accessible "shop now" feature; I've noticed less and less full blog posts and more "quick shop" options. Now I think this feature is one of the reasons these bloggers are so successful and I want to implement features that my readers will respond to at the same time remaining true to why I started this blog. I wanted a creative outlet, something that would keep my wheels turning; keep me inspired and always thinking about shoot ideas beyond just the clothing I'm wearing and a pretty backdrop; I wanted to make art in a way. That's the actress in me, I want it to mean something. I think I'll always do these longer blog posts when I feature an outfit I'm inspired by. Julia Engel does that so well and it's something I give her huge props for! But in the future I'll also be working on implementing more content for you to easily see rather than reading through an entire post! Like everyone else I'm a work in progress so thanks for being along with the ride; you make it less bumpy! (Shop the post below.)
Outfit Details: Sailor Riviera Shorts and Cardigan from Loft. Lip stain I'm wearing in this shoot is "Party Pink" by Anatastia from Sephora, pink choker is from Francesca's and shoes are old. One of my favorite lemon sweaters from J.Crew (which you can shop below) is here.

I added in this sweet lace bralette from another look to create this flat-lay. I couldn't get over the white lace next to the daisy's. Similar Lace Bralette from Victoria Secret.
