Have you ever wondered how someone learns to model? Well I'll give you a few pointers! Basically I started modeling when I started taking pictures for my blog. Prior to that I had only done a few higher quality shoots. 1) Before getting married to my handsome hubby I did a sexy boudoir shoot for him and bonded the photos in leather bound book for him and gave it to him on our wedding night...oh la la! 2) My wedding photos on the big day! 3) I did a shoot in NYC in Central Park when I first moved to New York.
(Fun Fact: I look at Zillow and Truilia way too often in my spare time! I'm obsessed with looking at potential future homes for my one day bigger budget.) My hubby and I have been talking about laying down roots. We have no clue when that would be because we are still on the living out of a suitcase track but we hoping to buy a house around LA possibly in the next few years.
I want to discuss balancing acting with fashion blogging or any other side career! It's not easy! And there's no real concrete answer on how to accomplish both with the same effort. Last year in 2017 I took a big step away from acting to focus on my marriage, save money on a cruise ship, and travel Europe and I really don't have much to complain about. It was the BEST decision I could have done for my acting career.
As actress it's so important to look my best and yellow teeth from sugary foods and drinks isn't cutting it for me anymore! (Don't even drink coffee) I needed a little help and that's where Smile Bright comes in. Teeth whitening can be hundreds of dollars for real results or you can spend $50 and buy crest whitening strips that hurt your teeth and don't always work. Smile Bright is that perfect middle ground for people who are serious about owning their smile but don't want to break the piggy bank!
For two years in NYC (and don't get me wrong there's a definite soft spot in my heart for NY) I yearned to feel at home, to feel a purpose there, to have peace and it never really happened. After a while I was content with the fact that it was my home but I didn't have to love it. That sometimes God calls us to places that don't feel right or make us feel uncomfortable. And that sometimes there just as much a part of the journey as the places that make us feel at rest. LA does that for me!
In past posts I've talked about my favorite vintage stores in Austin and Dallas, Tx. but now that I'm California dreaming I had to share what vintage stores are worth the drive and worth paying a visit too! Shop my picks for the sweetest pink dress for spring picnics and midnight strolls in this post! Gingham stripes to button down dresses, I'm obsessed!
